Reading Messages From Database Records (Database Pull)
The Database Pull option enables Email2DB to read messages from an external database. At a predefined interval Email2DB will check for new or updated records in the database.
Any new records found can be converted to messages to be parsed and processed by Email2DB.
Once processed by Email2DB the records can be updated in the external database so
that they are not processed again.
The Database Pull option can be used to trigger events, such as email sending, SMS
sending, report printing, or further database updates, in response to changes occuring
in a different database. Email2DB can then become a data transformation server (DTS).
For example, suppose you have a Customer database containing customer records. You
can setup Email2DB to check for new customers at regular intervals (say once every
3 minutes). For new customer records Email2DB could send the customer a 'welcome'
email.
